Ionpot has an automated interface that collects continuous data stream from several market data providers and brokers. Thus Ionpot is a market platform where real time market data for Spot, Forwards, Volatility and Interest rates of majorly traded currencies and currency pairs are provided. Market data details for all Currency & Currency pairs i.e. High/Low, change, % change and Previous Close are available in the application. Charting & basic fundamental research based analytics are being developed for supporting trading decisions. Ionpot provides for a combination of manual & automated data capture which is aligned with several market data providers & brokers.
Pyxis has laid down an extensive process for validating data being fed into the system. Such checks involve:

• Validation for impossible values – bid being greater than ask or a negative value where a positive is expected
• Unexpected large movements
• Unlikely values
• Unchanging values over multiple updates

The market data administrator can override any value which is captured in an event log for overridden value. These business rules can be integrated with any market data solution as a part of automated event based logging for data cleansing. Typically in a market data cleansing service these business rules would be enhanced on an on-going basis.
